Jazz & Pimm’s at the Park – in aid of Alzheimer’s Research UK

01/08/2017

Mantle Business Centres is pleased to present Jazz at the Park, an evening of great music and incredible vibes, in support of Alzheimer's Research UK, the UK’s leading dementia research charity.

Alzheimer's Research UK powers world class studies focusing on prevention, diagnosis and treatments for dementia. Dementia affects a huge proportion of the population - one in three people over 65 in the UK will die with some form of the condition. We are proud to be joining the effort to defeat dementia sooner. The event will take place on Thursday 7th September 2017 at Thremhall Park Business Centre in the Walled Garden from 6pm to 9pm. Joining us for our listening pleasure will be Mike Gorman on piano, Pete Horsfall on trumpet and vocals, and Luke Steele on double bass.

Tickets are £15 each, which includes canapes and a glass of Pimm's. All proceeds to go to Alzheimer's Research UK. There will also be a raffle to help raise more money for the charity. You are invited to come along and build new connections and listen to some great Jazz, whilst helping to raise money for a very worthy cause.

This event is proudly sponsored by Price Bailey chartered accountants and business advisers. Over the past 12 months, the firm has organised a number of events for Alzheimer's Research UK, including a company-wide charity day in September, which raised £20,000. The firm, which has offices in Cambridge, Bishop’s Stortford, Ely, Norwich, London and Guernsey is now embarking on the second year of the partnership with the charity.

James King, CSR Partner at Price Bailey, said: “We are absolutely delighted after raising £37,500 for Alzheimer's Research UK in our first year of the partnership. While we haven’t set an overall target, this figure completely exceeds our expectations and we can’t wait to see what the total will be at the end of the two years. Everyone at Price Bailey has really got behind the fundraising and it’s clear that it is a charity close to many people’s hearts. Most people know someone affected by dementia, which is why I think people have been so determined to do their bit.”
